Day 17

We are very impressed with the road conditions. There is of course road construction but it is not bad. There are large turnoffs along the way about every 20 miles. There are several small gas stations along the way. We do not make reservations for the night since we were told the large caravans ususlly don't start until mid Jne. We are now using our nightshades. It is still light at midnight. You could read the newspaper outside. It gets light about 3:30AM. I will try to remember to take a picture at 10:30 pm. Yesterday we traveled through an area that had been closed the day before due to a forest fire. It was still very smoky.
