.
Thursday we packed up and hit the road. We were 12 miles from Anchorage and thinking of our adventure today. Riding along the coast of Turnagain Arm and possibly moose, bear or maybe a whale sighting. This was not to be. We passed an exit and coming upon an entrance ramp when I looked over at David and he had a strange look on his face. I was like WHAT and he said I have no power!! The truck just stopped.. He got it over to the shoulder in front of the ENRANCE RAMP. He tried it several time but nothing. I asked if we were out of fuel so he switched over to the other tank but no such luck. Cars of course were wizzing buy. What a helpless feeling. He started to call a towing service when two police officers showed up and put flares in back. The older cop walked up to my window and said WHY DID YOU STOP!! I'm thinking WHAT. Oh we stopped for lunch for kicks. Anyway after him telling David to try and start it we got a tow truck to come and tow us to a weigh station about 1/2 away. Long story short his boss came with a hugh truck and loaded our truck on the flat bed. He had a 5th wheel hitch and he took us back to Wasilla. Anchorage was closer but he said we would be there several days to get service. David had said he thought is was a fuel pump. We ended up dry camping (and you know my thoughts on that are) in the Ford parking lot in Wasilla. It was in fact the fuel pump and they fixed it on Friday morning but they also found a screw in one of the tires!! We had to take the truck to a tire shop and finally got on our way at 2pm Friday.
