FISH WHEEL

A Scandanavian idea brought from the Ohio area in the late 1800's and adopted by the Alaskan fisherman. The wheel raft floats and the river current makes the basket turn fish swimming up stream. They are picked up by the lower basket lifted to the upper chute into a holding box. The fisherman empties the box periodically through the day.
