John Hancocks monument. The day after he was buried grave robbers dug him up and stole his jewelry. He had a ring on his finger and they couldn't pull it off so they cut off his hand. Can you imagine. This was the hand that signed the Declaration of Independence.






John Hancock and Paul Revere are both buried in the Old Granary burial ground next to Park Street Church.
