On Sunday we arrived in Arco, Idaho for 2 days. The purpose was to visit Craters of the Moon. We found out some interesting things. Arco was the first community in the world ever to be lit by electricity from nuclear power. This occurred on July 17, 1955, powered by a reactor at the nearby National Reactor Testing Station (NRTS) which is now the Idaho National Laboratory. NRST made further history on Jan. 3, 1961 , when the SL-1 reactor melted down causing 3 deaths. It was the world's first and only fatal reactor accident.
.
The numbers of the mountain are from graduating classes from Acro and was started in 1920.
.
The park we stayed in also gave us free pancake and eggs breakfast for each day we stayed. We have stayed at lots of parks but this was a first..
