This is a view of San Francisco Peaks from our RV park in Meteor Crater. As you can see there is still snow on the mountain.
David in front of the vistors center at Meteor Crater.
Meteor Crater is nearly one mile across and more than 550 feet deep.
David standing on one of the overlooks. Please know that the wind was blowing with some really big wind gusts.
This is a
panoramic
view but does not do the crater justice.
The Holsinger Meteorite is the largest discovered fragment of the 150 foot meteor that created Meteor Crater.
So as the sun sets on the San Francisco peaks I think I will close for now and tomorrow we will be on the road to
Albuquerque.
